During the Vietnam War the U.S. CIA recruited a hill tribe in the mountains of Laos called Hmong. Armed men and young boys who only stood as tall as a riffle were given specific duties to rescue down America pilots and stop the Ho Chi Minh military supplies route.

The U.S withdrew from Vietnam in 1975 but not every soldier was lucky enough to escape.
